Well test drove the Corsa VXR yesterday and absolutely loved it, no suprise going from a 1.2 to that! It was a 59 plate, started to do the paperwork etc and then the sales guy told me that I could not have it until end of Jan because it was only registered 30th Oct and Vauxhall's policy is that it cant be driven until 90 after it was registered. How gutted was I?!!

TBF the salesman was gutted for me aswell plus my mum had a pop at him, lol.

I dont know whether to still have it but wait, so tempted but just dont know what to do?

Just thought I would shre and get it off my chest, it seems like such a ridiculous policy vauxhall have, I had the money ready and he lost out on the sale.

Yeah, Vauxhall have to lease it for 3 months before they can sell it. I found this out earlier in the year when I was looking for my car. Think of it this way, someone else will be driving your car, not giving a toss cause they will give it back and get another new car.

Unless you can strike a deal where they park it up in there compound for the period. So that way you know it will not be mistreated and the mileage will not go up.

If the dealer will not do this, then say when the car gets to x miles park it up. My dad had a bad experience where the dealer (Arthur Prince VW Loughborough) was going to park up the car at 5k however they did not and ended up kerbing the wheel. He told them to shove it and went and ordered himself a brand new one.

Im sure if you have a look about at other dealers you wil get one cheaper and get it there and then!

but surely if you put a deposit down , no one will drive it at all as this will be yours but just not until January.

I would not put it past VX if they did that, but still let people go out in a test drive in it...

i did the same kinda thing with mine.. put a deposit down and said dont let anyone use it until i collect it.
I noted the mileage down before i left and when i picked it up it had done about 5 more miles which probs were to fill her up and take her to the car wash. i was surprised they stuck to their word and parked it up and didnt use it.
