Is this chatter sound Bad for a Turbo ??

[MR-CORSA-VXR]

im going to be buying a pipercross foam filter next week as the ITG panel filter doesnt do i for me lol. i came ocross this video of a pipercross foam filter fitted onto a Corsa VXR givin off this noise from the wastegate kinda lik a dump valve noise but more of a chatter. can u have a little look and let me know thanks.

I think I know what u mean by chattering sound. I know nothing when it comes to the mechanics of cars but I dont think that sounds right IMO. someone please correct me if I'm wrong. As I said i know nothing haha.

this isnt wastgate chatter! this is compressor stall and it does harm to your turbo! its where the air is flooding in to the still spinning turbo and causes it to stall! this causes lag and premature wear on the bearings

the reason you hear it on jap cars is because they have an external wastgate
