Hey guys,
Anyone had there vxr re-mapped?
What kind of mpg difference does this make if any? looking at the dyno graphs the power is about the same until you start hitting 3k so im assuming normal driving the mpg wont alter
Getting the bluefin unit after Christmas from Thorney Motorsport Hehe =p cant wait!
Thanks!
you probs find the turbo doesnt kick in till 3k soo thats why the power is the same while running off boost.
Go on to Superchips.co.uk and go threw the prosess of ur car it will tell u amout of bhp ft/lb gained!

no mate! ive only one arm at the minute really so i drive very sensably! the map i have on my car is very linear and easy to control im also very light so combine it all and its a good all round package
think i averaged about 26 mpg standard

Ahh, thats ok then. Cant wait for the bluefin unit to turn up hehe, so can you choose what kind of map you can upload to your car?

you can with eds! with blufin you have to have each map sent individually to you,
im with courtenay where a base map is uploaded to my car and it is the set up specifically for my car depending on how it performes on both rolling road and out on the road

I see, i decided to go with Thorney purely becuase they are a vx approved company if im right in saying that.
I got killed by an old civic the other day i wasn't expecting that....old N Reg civic. =/

hmm im not sure of the exact terminolodgy they use! the are an approved vx dealer, as for their products being vx approved i dont believe thats the case! they do have a warrenty plan in place with vx should there be any issues with you modifications!
mate those civis weigh nothing and are quite quick! i hate street racing though so id recomend ya take it to santapod lol
I got a thorney bluefin last week im happy with the results

Bet you can't wait for your remap I've been told it makes a really noticable difference in power :) It's not all figures, just feel how stronger it pulls through the gears that would be enough for me anyway hahah :P

yea its all about the midrange tanya! whialst the quoted figures for stage 1 might only be a 20-25 bhp increase the midrange increases 35ish! the torque is brilliant too
