I just sat down with my dad and he asked why i was modifying my car so much and spending so much on it. i explained that i do like it, its just not quick enough and i want some speed.
Anyways, he told me about when he was my age and what he did with cars etc.. and we have now decided upon what i should and am going to do.
Im going to save from this day onwards (every single penny, getting a weekend job as well) and then in september im going to sell my car and buy a VXR (or a different car if there is a nicer car out by september).
He was really cool with the whole idea and what i wanted and how i should go about it. he said i could keep throwing money at my car but in reality its just a 1.2 and will break at some point. So yh, VXR or a different car (same sort of spec) in september for me! time to save every penny and not spend at all. Granny driving ftw.
a good idea...but not exactly a granny driver with your remap...
i will be now mate.. want good mpg haha

Sounds like my plan ;) i'm still getting my 1.2 re mapped though to improve mpg ;)
haha im glad i got mine done. Will keep me happy enough until VXR

plus it will also get you more prepared for the power that the VXR offers...and i would say get the arctic because they look the best, but i havnt seen many racing editions out there...well none tbh actually. so you could be different and get a racing...

haha why did u do that? suspicious ;) maybe it was in the process of getting transfered as it was a private plate. if he got the car recently it still could have not been updated in the database.
wanted to find out how much it cost him. :P

my dad has said a few times my old corsa C looked really nice.. and that i should of kept it.. :\
Even though he said loads of times before that i shouldnt waste so much money on modding :lol:

My birthdays next month and hopefully there will be a vxr sitting on my drive, been trying to build up to it for years, first car was a corsa from 1990 2nd was a 57 plate 1.2 third is my sri.

im now thinking of gettin a corsa vxr in sept rob :) lol how does it work with the regal vxr's? do i just take my car down there and they get it all spec'd up? or do they sell them?? any help??

A lot. Its realatively cheap (If that you can call 6-8k cheap) to get to 300bhp. However, theres all the other extra stuff (Brakes, suspension, diff) that IMO is essential when going down the 300 bhp route. I think only a few of the 300bhp guys have went the full hog (Wayne, Ade etc) but it defo pays off in that you end up with a proper little weapon.
