View Full Version : how much is an arctic
What is a reasonable price to expect to pay for :
1) An Arctic Corsa
2) A VXRacing Corsa
And how much should i expect to get for my car:
1.2 Active plus, put back to standard except for the spoiler, 9,600 miles. 58 plate, Car first registered 4th January 2009. Very Good condition, well looked after.

But a raciung you can get the same remus exhaust for £450 - or something like that. Don't forget that 09 car is nearly a year old - new reg 10 comes out 1st March. £14,000 for a year old vxr doesn't seem to cheap to me. Ok it has average miles, extra £1500 you can get a brand new racing edition! Which hasn't been driven hard etc.
They made 444 racing editions, which I think are all sold now, so they decided to make another 444 taking it up to total of 888

I got my VXR for 12K from a private dealer in Dundee. 57 plate with 23K on the clock. He also gave me £1,800 for my 2001 Corsa C.
I'd been waiting on a good price for a VXR for quite a while though - it depends on how quickly you want it!
Id say 12-14K a good deal ; )
In answer to your question; how much is an Arctic?
I'd say (Second hand and half decent) 11-12k. People selling them privately do tend to ask for more than they are worth as they are "special" but in reality you should be looking to spend the same on an Arctic than the equivalent normal VXR.

Good man get a VXR :D
If yer gonna get a VXR get a racing. Red is THE VXR colour.

I was going going to get an arctic but everytime I see pics of the racing I think twice because of the colours.
Only thing drawing me to an arctic over the racing is the exhuast atm, but couldn't I just put a remus on the racing or is it a 'special' one on the arctic?

VXR Racing is no different performance wise to a standard VXR, iirc all they did was stick bits on the side, paint the spolier different and mirrors, you get full heated leather and maybe the sight and light pack and bigger wheels. You do get discount off 888 racing parts though me thinks.
The Arctic has bigger wheels, remus precat and backbox, and big glass sunroof, which i wud think makes it heavier.
What Discount do you get Adam?
i dont know exactly how much discount, but i paid 13,900 for one built to order, I got a remus of a guy I knew and got it fitted myself. :). Co-incidently I have just sold it 30 odd k later for 11k so well happy, just got to get the remus off and sold, and wait for the new one to be built :)
