1st service help/discussion

Right, so my car ticked over to 10,000 today... time for first service.. (the service message isnt coming up on the display though???)

1) how much will VX charge me
2) what will they say about the flowmaster?
3) whats likely to be wrong? (e.g. brakes...etc...), if so..will it all be covered under warranty??

u sure its 10000?? mines is goin in nxt week cos its a year old and done 14500 ish for its first service. Been quoted £125 all in for the vxr

Well my first service at my main vauxhall dealership (where I bought the car) cost £200.

I had the service when the car was a year old (15k).

At the time I removed most mods, such as pipercross viper induction kit, sub and amp, etc. in case they said anything but, even with amp wires everywhere, they didn't say a thing.

Just in January I had my 2nd service when my car was 2 years old and I left all my mods on (except sub and amp so they could get to spare wheel) and they didn't bat an eyelid, and this service only cost £175 as it was at a smaller vauxhall dealership nearer to where I live.

Both times all I have needed was 2 new front tyres (only advised so I have bought them at a tyre garage near me at a later date), never had to change the rear yet.

Brakes have always been good, and I got my brake fluid done on my second service.

To be honest because you have only done 10k miles all that should need changing is the usual stuff, i.e. filters.

Because you have the flowmaster on you might want to replace this with the standard one if its easy enough. When I changed my pipercross viper for the first service it was no hassle for me at all so best to do it so they don't say anything.

Its once a year or 20000 miles whatever comes first.

FI got my VXR (1st year service) for £90 at the VXR performance centre. Was quoted silly money from dealers.

I would take the flowmaster off. As if they find something not quite right with the engine, you will end up footing the bill for it.

1st service is usually 20,000 miles or 1 year
whichever comes first
