I have not had anything yet from vauxhall.

I have had no trouble starting mine( yet )in the cold.

Do you guys give the glow plugs (or what ever there called in cars) time to heat up before starting your car?

    Spark plugs?

    If so, Diesel's don't have them! :D

I usually turn the key one click before the engine starts, and wait for the light to go off, before I start it though, which everyone should do.

True, but they do have glow plugs, used to help diesel engines start in the cold.

There should be a light on the dash which goes off when they're up to temperature.

Yep, with a derv you should wait for the coil on the dash to go off before starting the engine. This is to allow time for the glow plugs to heat up and the engine will start a lot easier and won't kick out half as much black smoke on starting if you wait for the coil to go off.

Not had a recall for mine yet, but last Saturday morning I started the car at 2am when it was 2c and it started fine

And mine, but of you try a cold start without waiting that three seconds it will seem a lot harder to start and there wil be some nice black smoke!!!
