glad you're happy with the BB mike!
honestly guys, i always thought BB's are for "old boring people" or business use, but BB have really done well for themselves in the last year by expanding their range and making them more appealing to the average joe...
don't know if anyone knew this before but BB's were originally designed for the military, so the devices have come from a backround where u need strong and lasting materials, tonight i spoke to someone that has had their BB since they were released in the UK (years ago) and it still looks, feels and works like new (the odd scratch here and there obviously)! BB then expanded to the business market which often puts massive strain on the software as they're constantly used and hammered with data... the software that BB use is very reliable and if anything does go wrong, which is very rare, they're very easy to fix without losing all your personal info...
And now at present, BB have become more and more competitive in the comsumer market, with the release of their 1st touch phone (9500, exclusive to voda). they have also mastered the art of 3G (fast net) with the 9500 and the 9000... They've recenty released the BB App World (similar to the iPhone or T-Mobile G1) where the user can choose what App's they have on their device to make it unique and more useful than it already is...
Currently, BB are also testing handsets using the Google Android software (which only the G1 uses @ the moment) and are looking to release a handset on this platform later this year...
I'm sure we've all had nokias, LGs, Sony Ericssons etc that crash all the time and this is something that is extremely rare on BB's... Instant Email, IM, good looks, durable exterior, decent battery life, excellent apps, top notch GPS, the list gos on... no other phone on the market does all this as well as a BB does...
I work for T-Mob and i speak to loads of peeps setting these up when it's their 1st BB phone, and i tend to call them back a few times in the first week or so just to see how their getting on, and everyone, from young to old, business to on the dole, tech geeks to amatures, they all love em!
As i said, i work for t-mob, but anything i've said here is purely my personal opinion, and does not represent t-mob's views or opinions in any way... (don't want anyone taking my ass to court for what i've said here lol)

Agree with you there Si
I thought these phones were for old people and the business peoples cos mams got one of the old school ones tht the business peopels use and i was like nahh not for me.
But then looked into the new ones (Bold, Curve, Storm)...after having the iPhone they pretty much put me off touch screen phones for life as if you fingers are more than 4mm wide you press 2 letters while texting
The blackberry now has impressed me so much im wondering why i havnt had one since day one tbh..i dont think ill ever move away from blackberry now tbh..just upgrade etc etc.

if you say so...
i'm gutted personally... blackberrys were a bit fuzzy to me when i did my last upgrade so i stuck with nokia and went for the 5800 XM (good phone) but since then i've moved the the dept that deals with these and i love em! just can't wait now for my next upgrade tbh... sept do hopefully BB'll av something new by then...
u tried out the GPS yet mike? or that BB App World?
if not, give em a go, u'll be suprised how good they are...

Hmmm im due an upgrade and i was going to get the new cybershot or the iphone but the BB curve sounds awsome cause i have broke my n95 7 times so if the BB are strong and cool i might just have to get one. does it have a good camera?
