Exhaust system for 1.4 SRI

Hi,

i pick up my new Corsa 1.4SRI next wed tea time. The first thing i want to do is put an exhaust system on it. I want one thats fairly loud and that has a pop and bang like a VXR is this possible?

i currently have a 1.1 Citroen c2 and have a cat back system from powerflow which is very loud but sounds like a tractor lol

im looking for a loud but sportier sound... any suggestions?

Remus exhaust centre have said that they can get 3 quarters of the way to sounding like a VXR is this possible?

piper do one for the old 1.4s so not sure if the system will be the same?

tbh mate i dont know.... i guess thats the thing with buying new... theres limited knowledge of them

im sure if you give it a little while you'll find out what mods you can get. im pretty sure its going to be very similar to the old 1.4, maybe go for panel filter? remap maybe?

You need a turbo down pipe for the pop/bang mate and you need a turbo on your engine in order to fit this pipe. I know that some manifolds can make a bit of a spit in high revs but thats prob as close as you'll get to the pop/bang

well i have piper manifold and full system with 1 box (had 2 on my 1.4/ 1.2s have 1)

this combo bleeds ears!

did not find a remus made for my 1.4...

so would the manifold need taking off 4 mot? if not then how much did you pay for your system?

When i emailed remus they said they do 1 for the 1.4 but i dont know if thats the corsa C even though i did say D lol

You can never get a 1.4 D to sound like a vxr mate.
your closest bet would be to get a full system exhaust made up from either piper or exhaust UK.

just been looking through on past posts and i see piper seem to be everyones favourite. i read the post on the 1.2 corsa they did (paula's)

Manifold and Sports Cat = £409.99 including VAT --- as im so silly does this price include the centre pipe and backbox?

only problem i have is getting down to kent as im from the midlands...do they have any other dealerships?

also with it being a brand new car thats il be getting.... will it affect any warrenty?

piper have dealers all over so you could take it to your local one

pops and bangs are cased when there are unburned gases in the exhaust igniting on decelleration, which causes the noise!

it DOESNT have to have a turbo, but a better exhaust just amplifies this sound
