    Question Help....How do you remove Speedo/rev counter??

    Hi i want to install my SMD's and want to remove the speedo, and rev counter clocks is there a tutorial as i can't find one on the site?? :o and if not has anyone don't who can help and then i'll write one for when i do mine.

    lower the steering wheel to the bottom, and give the plastic around the speedos a pull, and undo the screws and its all simple from there

    iDan....CD30mp3 strip down?

    As iDan is on fire is their a tutorial for taking apart the CD30mp3 stereo as i want to change the LED's in it???

    Just had a look at taking my speedo apart for changing the SMDs but the tutorial only goes as far as taking the speedo out, how do you actually take it apart to change the SMDs??

    keep unscrewing the torx screws thats all that holds each layer of casing on. Then need to pull off the needles. Then peel back the dials map. And then three more torx. And then there board comes out

    Lol you any good with a soldering iron mate? I got one of the fairys to do my window switches etc

    So you just pull the needles off? I was thinking it had to be them but i didn't want to royally f**k it up lol. I noticed the T8 screws underneath so thats all good

    i did a week soldering course about 6months ago haha
    but i wouldnt say im good at all!
    hmm, wonder if i can find one next week to help us

    Haha sounds good to me mate. Well the guy who did my window switches is on nights in the AV Bay next week, sooo if we got him some beers i'm sure he'd do them for us lol. Doesn't take him long either, he's awesome at soldering lol.

    im giving few people a lift tomorrow one of them is an AV i think
    ill ask them
    if not ill just buy an iron and erm 'give it a go'
    heres a question
    your window switches
    does the whole tab light up?
    mine do
    but every other corsa i seen theres just a little window symbol that lights up instead

    Thers different kinds of window switches mate, some models have the whole thing glowing and some only the little icon, mine has the whole thing which looks cooler if i do say so myself lol. He's a LH in the AV bay here. He'll do them no problem though he's done loads of stuff on my car lol. All he requires is a few cans of Kronenburg lol

    lad in my class just got a limited edition last week u seen it?
    not half as nice as the design inside
    lush to look at though!
