The age used to be 21 but now it's been pushed to 24.

In terms of being 18 and looking for it on your todd, nowhere will do it, fact.

Only way is if you do it through your parents insurance.

do most insurance companies not do a week?

whenever i've called to add someone on they've always said they are on for a week, and its cost me £35 regardless of said third parties name/age etc

No what your thinking of is being put on as a named driver onto an existing policy... the OP is talking about taking out a policy in his name for only 1 day. Bit of a difference lol

Yeah adding on is different to taking out a one day policy. might be in the OPs interest to get his dad or mum to get it for him./

My guess is that he wants to buy a car and bring it home from somewhere, that's the only reason I have ever contemplated 1 day insurance anyway. I could be way off but if not a taxi is out the question.

yeah i know im only 17 and havent got any no claims-obviously
If the government had it their way they would increase the age of holding a full uk license, they should be attacking old people on the road its clear that they are the ones causing these accidents, im not saying every old driver is bad and im definitely not saying all young drivers are saints but there should be a cap on these outlaundish insurance rates!!!

Perhaps they should put a cap on whiplash claims that seem very common in young drivers/all their mates too?
