With an online code I managed to get both front wipers from gsf for £22 down from £56.

    Bosch aerotwin ftw.

My gti gearstick finally arrived almost a week late.

Anyway Iím home early from work today, so I decided to get it put on.

Quite simple really but I think it makes a huge difference.

So this mod will probably only last afew weeks as they are only stickers. I was thinking of spraying the chrome lines but I couldnít split the grill no matter how hard I tried.

Car looks good (and nice cat!)
I stuck some of that red strip on my Corsa grill...it lasted 2 years before I needed to change it.

Lol I didnít even notice that my cat was in the picture. If the tape falls off, Iíll just take it to a body shop near Dexel in town, get it sprayed.

Iím not sure whatís next, Iím hoping to get some new alloys soon and then look at getting a larger spoiler, different diffuser and maybe a front bumper extension. Need to save up for a while.

So Iíve just received afew small bits through the post. Iíll be doing some changes to Gina this weekend. Iíll post an update and pictures once I done the bits.

Iíve also ordered a spoiler for Gina, Iíve not received it yet. Iím going to a proper body shop to have it prepped and painted. Iím tempted to fit it myself but Iíll talk to the body shop first.

Hereís a pic of the spoiler Iíve ordered.

Came back to the transport office at work today to find this,Click here to enlarge
Itís the fibreglass spoiler I ordered from eBay.
I quickly test fitted it by holding it in place, it looks like I good fit and wonít require too much adjustment to get it to fit properly. Iím very happy with it.
Just need to pop to the local body shop and ask how much itíll cost to paint and fit, hopefully not to much.

Yeah Iím bracing myself for a £100+ bill for it to be done for me. Iíll know more once Iíve been and spoken to them.
I know itís a lot of money and I could save loads by doing it myself, but I want this done right and to look as oem as possible. Iíll update as soon as Iíve spoken to them. (Saturday)

Had a rear wiper delete and red led t10 bulbs to change.

I also went for a walk to the bodyshop to see about spray painting and fitting the rear spoiler, unfortunately he wasn’t open, only works Monday to Friday.
Here’s a pic of the spoiler at the moment.Click here to enlarge
I’m really excited about how it’s going to look once it’s fitted.

I’ve decided I’m going for an oem+ look on Gina, so this spoiler will be sprayed the same colour as Gina is, just need to speak to the guy at the bodyshop during the week instead.

After having afew people comment about how my wiper delete stands too proud from the rear window/glass, Iíve ordered a flush fit style delete.
It arrived today and Iíll probably fit it at the weekend. My only issue is that itís a glue in style of delete, so once itís in, itís staying in.

Iím still trying to sort out getting the rear spoiler painted and fitted, just havenít had time to go anywhere as my hours have increased and Iím not getting home until late.

Iím going to call/phone afew places tomorrow, for prices etc etc.

Also had afew quotes from some bodyshops about the rear spoiler, the prices range from £150 - £380!, the only one Iíve not managed to talk to yet is one thatís local to me. Iíve heard heís cheaper than most but still does a great job.

Iíve ordered afew more bits and bobs, hopefully Iíll receive it all before the weekend. Iíll post some more before and after pictures.

Also Gina is booked in with vw for a cambelt and water pump change in the middle of next month, which is quite expensive, but needs to be changed as per service requirements.

Received something today that Iíd ordered on Thursday, Black chrome exhaust tips.
Iím very happy with them, they just slide on and look really nice. Not a bad price either (£15), they are really good quality and have good reviews about them.

Also forgot, I met up with j3ese (you tuber) in Nottingham on Saturday afternoon, he was having a car meet for reaching 10k subscribers. I decided to go as I was giving him some car parts I no longer need. Whilst I was there, I got a sticker to show my support for his channel.

Just been to a local bodyshop for a quote on getting the spoiler sprayed and fitted, Iím happy to say itís booked in for the first week of December.
Theyíve said they need the car on the Monday (3rd) for test fitting/fettling of the spoiler and then theyíll need the car about 3-4 days later for the actual final fitting.
    The quote was £180+vat = £216.

Really looking forward to it being painted and fitted.

So itís been awhile since my last update,

Gina is at vw Lincoln today for the cambelt and water pump change. She hit 70k miles lastnight so the mileage is spot on for the work being done today.

In afew weeks time, the spoiler gets sprayed and fitted, I canít wait.

Iím still looking to change the alloys and lower the car, but this time of year is a financial nightmare, so next year is when Iím going to start changing things again.

Also, Gina has been faultless since my ownership, the mpg I get still amazes me and the car is just so nice to drive.

So the cambelt and water pump change went smoothly, no problems at all.
The technician/mechanic has highlighted a problem though, one of my rear shockers is leaking.
Luckily this is something I can sort out myself.
I was thinking of upgrading the shocks to bilstein b4ís when I lower it next year, so Iím going to start saving for this before I change the alloys.
