Haha yeah. Looking at £150ish for a good Stage 1 map, got to get the water pump sorted first realized tonight that its whistling away..

Even with the R bumpers, you don't really expect a Polo with a TSi badge to do 130 :p
Not bad at all that, I paid close to £250 for my custom map which was pretty good at the time! That's not good! Is it under warranty? Haha yea you're right, I should take the badge off to make it even more sleeperish

Alright Jay! :wave1: Car's looking pretty sweet mate
Hey Kev! Long time no speak!

130kph..... Lol Awesome gains from this engine. How's the clutch holding up with the extra bhp? Don't slam it. Think the Eibach Sportlines are perfect. Wouldn't mess the ride with those mods unless you going to splash the cash on the suspension. Keep the quality going. What coilies would you go for?

Yeah i was quite surprised as well, the gains are quite big for such a small 4 cylinder single cam engine lol. Turbo charger must be nearing its limit. Clutch is fine, copes with it quite well. Not had any problems since the map. Yeah i wont slam it, too many slammed vw's already anyway. I wanna go for a more functional car rather than form. I've seen a set brand new AP coilovers at the moment on ebay for £300 that someone has bought but not used. Thinking on those as i know AP is a quality brand. Its either that or fork out for a set of eibach dampers to match my springs.

Bilstein b8 dampers perfect match. You can buy them staggered to save up. Buy fronts then back. Will be far superior build and ride. Or the whole kit £475 http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/volkswagen/polo/bilstein-b8-sprint-damper-shock-absorber-kit-polo-6r-12-12t-si-14-14t-si-14tdi-16tdi-0609

Ooo tempting! That's not too dear either for the 4 shocks! Will have to get saving for these instead. Always wanted to try a shock and spring kit instead of coilover kits. Never heard anything bad about them.

I have thought about de-stickering it as the misses has been complaining too about it lol. Would look a lot more mature.

If you mean the over run when cold then then yes but it's normal. After anything between 20 seconds to a minute, it disappears as the revs drop back down to idle.

Although not so much now as I have a catback fitted so I get more backfire than over run noise.

That looks awesome to be fair!
What's it like on fuel? The other half has been looking at Polo's for the commute to Leicester and back every day, from Chesterfield. Bit unsure on which would be best for her. Heard the 1.4 is really good on fuel.

They're really good! On long commutes ive managed upto 55mpg after the remap quite easily aslong as you're not heavy footed. The little engine really pulls well through the gears and you never feel like the car is bogged down or running out of juice!

140bhp out of a 1.2?

Yes! its quite something lol, theres a few over in spain that have achieved 180bhp with bigger turbos and intercooler kits. No surprise really when you see fords ecoboost engines doing 200bhp on a 1.0 litre!!

looks ace but that number plate on the front needs to go where it should be
I'm getting that bit smoothed soon as the paint is bubbling abit where water has been trapped.
