2009 1.3 Corsa D, I’ve seen people say that you have to pop the middle bit out then get the clip out with a removal tool, but when I went to the dealer to see if they have any clips in stock the guy told me they’re reusable since you don’t need to pop the middle bit out before taking the clip out.

You can force them out with the pin still in place but the problem with that is the word "force". Once out they are of course reusable.
Best to push the pin out first, then the clips come out easily.

And I assume once I push the pin out it gets lost inside the car shell, which then makes that particular pin unusable?

If they get pushed into a void where you have no access it means a new clip

They are relatively inexpensive though so not something I worry about. Sometimes you can dig the pin out of the clip with a sharp pick enough to grab it with pliers.
