Hi all,

I'm about to delete the EGR on a Corsa D Van - engine code: Z13DTJ.

The image shows the overview of the EGR system I have in front of me. I also have a diamond shaped blanking plate which suggests it's either at the inlet or head.

Where do I blank the EGR, at the head or at the inlet side? I have a diamond shaped blanking plate which suggests it's one or the other.

The customer has supposedly had the EGR mapped out and now just requires it mechanically blanking.. I've replaced a few but blanking them is new to me.

Thanks

From reading up on them from the companies that sell them on eBay, it goes between the egr valve and where it mounts to as it’s essentially blanking the valve off. Depending on the quality of the metal, some of the coke can versions can burn through over time so a thicker one lasts longer as it’s not as prone to this. Also it’ll need a good clean out as most egr valves die through build up of soot in the system which you’ll probably find when you take it all apart!
