Hi, sorry if this question has been asked before,
Long story cut short
I have a corsa d 1.3 cdti z13 dth engine,
Ecu has failed due to usual water damage,
What I would like to know is
If I was to get a full kit ie
Ecu
Bcm
Air bag module
Instrument cluster
Keys etc
Would I be able to strip all the ones in the vehicle out and then put all the new ones in.
Or would I need to have anything reprogrammed?
Any advice would be appreciated

Sorry to hear this i have just had the same thing happen to me.

You can get the ECU repaired i found this when looking to get mine fixed.

My dad had same issue,
He sent his ecu to that company, who then sends it off to another company,
And what he got back was a 2nd hand ecu straight from another vehicle, with his ecu data on it, but only problem was the 2nd hand one they sent wasn’t refurbished and it was water damaged, so he sent it back and they said my dad had tampered with it when he hadn’t, so he sent it to another company who said the ecu had been contaminated and parts was missing off the ecu circuit board, which has rendered the ecu useless,
So now he has to either buy another ecu or scrap the van,

so with mine I was just going to buy a full ecu kit with all modules and replace them all and see what happens,
Hoping someone on this group has done this before lol

I have see these advertised on eBay i hope it works, please let us know how you get on it may help others in the same boat.

Hey Max, with your water damaged ECU , did you get it fixed and have your car up and running again?

No, it looked like it was going to cost £500 to get the ecu repaired and i had labour charges to pay, as there was no guarantee when the ecu was installed it would work and bearing in mind the car needed money spending to get it through the next MOT I decided to scrap it and pay the garage.
