Very weird issue. I have a Corsa 1 litre Ecoflex (1 litre) and I’ve been having an issue where the car just goes limp, won’t let me accelerate and the revs drops very quickly basically going to zero, until you have to restart the engine and the issue goes away. An ignition warning light comes on, but doesn’t store the code so I imagine this is because the revs drops. There are new spark plugs, coil pack and the battery is in good health. What could this issue be as the car just refuses to drive once it goes limp until the engine switches off. It’s a very inconsistent issue and only happens really when I’ve first started the drive within the first 10 minutes or so, sometimes it’s instant sometimes it takes a while. Also, when it goes limp the car sounds like a steam train with the engine pulsing, but as I said the issue goes away after restarting. It sometimes happens twice, or maybe even three times after the restart so I had to call the AA out but they could do much, and the live scan showed no issues.
