Hello, my first post, I have just brought a corsa d, while driving around and once I stop, when I walk past the front of the car it "smells" hot, no loss of coolant, checked the temperature in the menu and it goes up and down so I assume thermostat is working, family kicks in, at a high temperature. Is this a general corsa thing I have to get used to?? Thanks for any input, look forward to a happy future in the forum.

I have never noticed my car smelling hot but if you are not overheating or losing coolant don't worry about it enjoy your new car

Normally when you get smells with a hot engine it's something burning like a oil leak or coolant or new parts.
Running temps are generally around 100-105. People report different temps for fan activation...105-110 If your coolant is good and the fan is kicking in with no temp warnings then as SXI says..don't worry.
