Okay the quick story.

Bought a new corsa d 1.2 sxi.first day went over a large pot hole.car never drove right since.took to garage they said i bent the passenger wishbone,as the wheel wasnt centrally located (it was back a bit)ordered new one had that fitted no difference still looks and drives dodgy.
Garage then realligned subframe as they thoght that might have moved.problem is still there and they cant do anything more.

i must have been going about thirty mph and there is no damage to tyre or wheel.
this is really strange and so annoying as cant use my new car.

Any one on here have any ideas?

At that speed it simply shouldn't have happened. When did you get the car because a load of early ones were recalled because of a suspension fault. See this thread http://www.ukcorsa-d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=389&highlight=recall

i did take it to vaux they almost had to escort me out i was so fumming saying any road damage is not there problem, and wouldnt do it under warranty.

i have now solved the problem i managed to get a complete second hand leg and its fine now.

it must have either been the shock absorber or the hub where the disc is located.
but there was absolutely no sighns of damage or anything out of aline.

anyway rant over just a word of warning dont go mad on the bumps.

Well I'm going to be ordering a design soon & was thinking of getting the optional 17's but they also include the lowered stiffer SXI suspension. There's nothing but pot holes & speed bumps where I live. Don't think I'll risk it now.

I think the garage fobbed you off. Quote the consumer goods act to them. Goods have to be fit for the purpose sold etc etc The component failed under normal driving. My brother had a 92 lancer and hit a pot hole at 40mph. Only damage done was a slow puncture. Someone else said that if you make a complaint at the garage they have to inform GM who will then contact you a week or so later. Or go directly to GM.

Yeah i think go straight to GM. Also constructions and use act applies. If going to GM use pictures of the car and if possible pictures of the pothole
