Im new to this scene and i want to change the head unit so i can get better sound quality and fit a sub the problem is that i went down to my local vauxhall dealer and got told if i do that i will loose my steering wheel controls and the head up display on the dash. Ive also got climate control and a trip computer that display of that screen. I have'nt had time to go to a ice installer yet. Is this true and there must be a way round this some how? :\ :dontknow:

You can just get an adapter lead autoleads do them:

Part No(Canbus Adapter) – PC99-X80

Part No((Steering cable) - Alpine PC99-ALP
Blaupunkt PC99-BLA
Clarion PC99-CLA
JVC PC99-JVC
Kenwood PC99-KEN
Kenwood Display PC99-KEN-DIS (disregard not on H)
Panasonic PC99-PAN
Pioneer PC99-PIO
Sony PC99-SON
Compatability: All models with steering wheel control functionality

You need the top one and then the steering controls one is optional.
For a fascia adapter use the astra H one!
