Hi, my daughter (17 new driver) has 1.4 SE 2012- as her first car.Recently she has had issue where dipped headlights fail whilst she is driving (dangerous) everything goes off, inc rear lights and dashlights, can be seconds or minutes then they come back on again. This is whether on auto or manual. 2 garages have had a look but can’t find a problem or get it to replicate the fault. Any ideas please? Husband had to follow her home with his lights on behind her and saw it all happening too. Any help/ideas be amazing

It could be a dodgy light switch. Turn the headlights on and try tapping the light switch to see if it affects the lights, you could also get your hand behind the switch and try wiggling the wiring to see if that has any affect.
Check if there are any loose fuses in the engine bay fuse box and the glovebox fusebox, again you can try wiggling any wiring you can get at.
