Radio not working on ignition - came to life after some driving.

My Radio has suddenly stopped working, every other button on the dashboard works fine but the radio is unresponsive, however after some driving it suddenly came back to life.
It has done it again when I started the car on a particularly cold evening, I have heard that cold weather/moisture could be causing a short and after the car has heated up from driving, the issue resolves itself.
I have checked the fuse within the glovebox and noticed no issue with the fuse itself.
Has anyone had any experience with anything like this?

I don't know where you heard that but i wouldn't take any notice, If this was the case there would be thousands of similar questions on VX forums like this as every car has a radio and every car gets cold in winter, you need to take it out and check connectors and wiring to see if there are any problems.

Same thing is happening on my opel corsa D 1.2, once it heats up, the top screen starts to work, did you ever solve it?.

I returned my connects2 CANBUS thinking it was faulty... since the radio was not starting if the top display is off...

So I managed to connect the aftermarket stereo to the cig lighter and now it always works, but the top display still presents the same problem, off when cold and on when heated up, it also resets its date to 2006 when the car was made.

Haven’t managed to fix it, very intermittent whatever it is, currently haven’t had the chance to look at it properly since I’m still in the process of getting a head gasket sorted on the car, didn’t have any issues with the display resetting to the year it was made, not sure what to make of that
