Hey forum

Vehicle modifications can be a worthwhile cosmetic and mechanical investment in your Corsa, shame is, younger drivers wont be able to modify their cars to their liking due to the high cost of mod parts & the sky high insurance prices.

Here are a few budget mod ideas so their (relatively) low-cost. These cosmetic modifications are easy, you can perform on your own drive!

*Its better to be safe than sorry, let your insurance know about any non-standard modifications you make to your car*

A very common mod that is easy to install and dramatically changes the look of your car are Wind Deflectors. Team Heko do a smoked set for 3door & 5door Corsa D's.

Fitting VXR Indicator surrounds is relatively easy and gives a much better look than the standard crystal sidelight.

Pair the VXR Indicator Surrounds with Black smoked side repeaters. Pop to the left, replace, and pop back into place.

Spraying the V-Grill and Griffin black just doesnt cut it for some people. To give your Corsa a really angry face you can fit it with this badgless grill, a copy of the Irmscher Debadged Grill.

Check your Corsa's LE rims, its likely that the locking bolt is silver and the other 3 wheet nuts are gloss black. For a full black stealth look you can fit completely black studs. Its a perfect replacement for worn studs or to make the hub completely black.

If you don't want to remove your headlights and spray them or pay £200 for smoked headlights. Buy eye tint for a tenner! Really easy to install and comes with a card to help press out the bubbles. Use a hairdryer though if you want a cleaner finish! Heat gun might melt straight through to the untrained user!

A number plate surround defines the plate even more, perfect if you have yourself a private reg or cherished plate.

Getting a new air filter can come with a heap of benefits such as increased engine life, better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. K&N is a British manufacturer of performance air/oil filters and intake kits. You WILL need to tell your Insurance about this one.

Long journeys will benefit here. An armrest can be a godsend for some, plush black leather and a hidden storage box sounds ideal. Easy to install and cheap for what it is.

If you love sitting on Halfords car park with 12 other cars with your doors open your going to want to get yourself some sill protectors to stop your new Nikes scuffing your car!

Standard Silver Protectors

There are many genuine VXR kit parts available online, its very rare to come accross a full set. Hers a full VXR set in fibre-reinforced plastic, not flimsy fibreglass like most aftermarket kits (hence the cost).
VXR Style Bodykit

De-badging the rear of your car can give it a clean, stealthy look. The easiest way is to peel the badges away with fishing wire after heating the glue with a hairdryer. Once this is done, use Goo-Gone to remove the glue residue & leave a shiny finish.

Headlights trims will give your headlights a streamlined look, giving your Corsa an angry face. Double sided tape make installation a breeze.

Here are a few very cheap bits you can pick-up for your car to give it a more personalised edge.

Not modification related, but its still fair budgeting. You can service your own car & get the stamp if you take your receipts. Its cheaper, more rewarding and who doesn't like having their bonnet up on a summers day.

I hope this thread helps at least one person with their modifications! If you have any questions/corrections/new links feel free to comment below & I'll make an edit to my initial post.

*The links are simply to give members insight into the product and rough cost. There are alternatives to the links provided. I am not trying to sell any product on the forum nor am I related to any of the sellers/websites in this thread*

Have a good one

Could add Rear debadging really easy and cost free, de wipering, once again basically cost free apart from the grommet, and number plate LEDs from crazyleds, really easy and roughly £10 for some decent LEDs and easy to fit. Fair play to you for the effort
