I recently brought a Corsa D, it's obvious the previous owner had a sub as there was a cut cable coming from the brown wire that leads into the interior fuse box.

However, there is distortion on the left side of the cars speakers. From looking online, this could be due to a bad ground. I am clueless when it comes to electrics, how would I go about finding the bad ground? Are there specific ground points in the car which are checkable?

If anyone could help, would be appreciated as it's the most annoying thing in the world. You can hear the music but there's fuzzing. If you think it could also be something else then feel free to drop it on :)

Ah the old farty sounding speaker sound! Either it’s a blown speaker, quite possible if it’s been cranked up to 11 and had some rock music through it or there’s been some water damage to the speaker somehow. Either way it’ll be a new speaker set, trip to Halfords and get them to put some more speakers in.
