Hey guys

Want to rotate the tyres on my corsa D. I've read up on it but not quite sure which one my situation falls into.

I have 2 continentals on the front wheels and (cannot remember brand) on the 2 back wheels. So I have 2 different brands on tyre on my car.

Is the rotation pattern a front to back pattern or a side to side pattern?

Thanks any help appreciated .

Its depends if your tyres are directional or not.

If they are all not directional rotate them diagonally;

Front left -> Rear right
Front right ->Rear left
Rear left -> front right
Rear right -> front left

If any of them are directional;

Front left -> Rear Left
Front right -> Rear right
Rear left -> Front left
Rear right -> Front right.

Tyres are directional if they have an arrow stamped on the side wall with/without text like "rotation"/"direction of rotation" (check both sides of the tyres as sometimes its only stamped on one side).

If in doubt just do the second option.

Presume this is to even out tyres wear. Good idea but also check the condition/and age of the tyres you are swapping...i.e. a fairly worn newer/premium tyre might be better than a good tread tyres from a crap brand thats ancient and gone hard.

As above. Also just run off two tyres and then you can switch to the same tyre on all 4. Running different tyres across the axel isn’t recommended.
