Hi guys

Right does anyone else have this problem? And whats the cause?

Basically the mrs 1.3cdti when first pulling away will sometimes be asif theres a delay in it revving, so itll stall, others you can be sat at lights go to pull away and theres an obvious delay

Its got her paranoid now when pulling off in traffic etc so shes revving the balls off it/riding the clutch more so it wont stall and im worried what affect that’s going to have on the dmf etc in the longer term, that and this problem cant be normal?

and nope its defo not the way she drives it never had.has this problem in any other car and neither do i but this ones had me a few times now aswell

So whats the likely cause?

Weve had problems with the car since we got it, misfire from cold its been back twice for and they keep saying its burnt out glow plugs? Iv never heard that before and its fine starting! To me its an injector fault or something? Could this also be down to the intermittent power issues?

It’s a 2010 with the newer 95bhp? 1.3 cdti engine 42k

When cold my 1.3 is a little rough till warm. As for the stalling I find the car needs 1200rpm before it will pull off easy, below that it can protest.

Does the car get a motorway run for a good 20-30min regular? If it doesn't I bet its clogged up and might just need a good motorway run at 60mph+ with a shot of fuel system cleaner like redex or wynns

yep it does around 2-300 a week various roads, not above 50 atm due to all the road works on the m62

and does a good trip to manchester once a month and newcastle every 6 weeks or so visiting family

im tempted to blank the EGR?
