If you’re looking to do it yourself you can go 3 ways.

1. Look for a double din size head unit (which is a generic head unit size for universal cars), these can have the best price ranges because they can be used in pretty much any car, but requires more install effort because it’s universal and you need multiple faceplates/fascia/cages to get a clean and flush fit.

2. Look for “Made for Corsa/VX/Opel” style headunits which are mostly Chinese built WinCE/Android units that integrate quite well with the car and fit perfectly with no extra pieces needed because they are made to fit in the car. These are available on places like eBay and Amazon but are more pricey such as 150-250

3. Look for the OEM Touch Screen units that came from factory, “Vauxhall Touch and Connect”. These are the factory standard enhanced head unit with full touchscreen and navigation etc. Not sure about the install procedure with this but it’s an OEM option again with perfect fitting since it’s madeOEM.

Personally I tried #1 and find the awkward fitting was a little annoying, so I went to #2 and bought a made for Corsa Android Head Unit for £250 on Amazon. It’s perfect and integrates with the car such as synching with headlights, full steering controls etc all from the box. With it being Android you can install anything from Navigation Apps, Apple CarPlay, Music/Video apps

The touch and connect were a factory fit option for those that wanted sat nav built in so when they do come up for sale they’re £250 ish, so to be honest a decent double din from Halfords fitted isn’t going to be as much as that, I guess it’s how inter grated you want it to look and what features you want.

Ive got a pioneer sph-evo62dab which has android auto and i quite like. I have added a reverse camera to it. I would recommend the connects 2 kit with a double din works well. You can get cheaper pioneer units that work just as well but I used this as a single din unit with the UNI adaptor in my micra.

Wiring wise you have to add a wire from the cig lighter (or the acc postion on the ignition switch like I did) and if you want it to dim with headlights I just took a wire from the door lock switch illumination and ran it to the orange wire on the loom. It sounds hard but not to bad once you get stuck in and even better with a friendly mechanic.

Its upto you but i recommend aftermarket as they often have more potential and features than the Chinese and vaxuhall units (e.g android auto, carplay, reverse camera, dab radio ect)

Hope this is some help

Iv just brought a pioneer sph-da230dab (I will be uploading and fitting it on my YouTube channel Spattwood89 this weekend)from Halfords Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB | Halfords UK. I also got this kit from dynamic sounds with the connect2 wiring kit Connects2 CT23VX36 - Vauxhall Astra, Corsa Double Din Car Stereo Fascia Kit (Piano Black) which should be a perfect fit. Vauxhall Corsa 2009 - 2014 Steering Wheel Stalk Control Adaptor - CTSVX003.2. Doesn’t come with the dab antenna so u can get this on there also

Did you ever do this video? I looked for it on YouTube but didn't find anything. I have just bought this stereo and would like to fit it myself. I currently have a JVC single din fitted but I need to adapt the wiring I think. Also when I tried the Pioneer, the Bluetooth was greyed out so that's another mod I believe. Was looking for a guide to help me.

I would strongly recommend against the connect2 steeting wheel adaptors and also recommend against the glass dab arrivals if you don't drive in the city.

I have had endless trouble with the connect2 adaptors where you need to plug CD30 back in. Get a incartech one and do your self a massive favour.

The dab aerial I've had endless drop outs with my Halfords branded one and went for a dab aerial but they do work ok in high reception areas. I'm out in the sticks.

But defiently don't get the connect2 wiring kit if you have steering wheel controls.

I’m a city boy so all good for the Ariel.

Cheers

Yes I will try and find it. Connect2 wiring kits are ok and they are for corsas without steering wheel controls but the corsas cut off canbus communication with the head unit after 30 days or so. The incartech kits and a few others tap the canbus from the clock which doesn't get cut off preventing the issue.

If you look on here there are quite a few threads that I found when it was to late lol
