So yesterday was going to change the bootlight to a white SMD and when i removed the old bulb the welcome light and the other 2 sidelights went off and they are not working now, even the white SMD that i fitted in the bootlight is not working... what happened? this happened when i removed the old bulb from the bootlight.

Nah basically when I converted all my interior bulbs to red I obv kept on turning ignition on to see if they worked and I was abit heavy handed too...so as I was fiddling to much I blown the fuse... Change the fuse and should all be working

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but did you manage to sort your boot light? I'm having the same issue. Tried different bulbs. If I touch a multimeter to the bulb and the car chassis I get a reading of 12v..
I'm having this exact same thing! I can't figure it out. The boot light metal contacts are reading 12v - yet when a bulb is in there (festoon type), no light. Bulb works in the interior light fitting though.

I can't get my head around this - what could possibly be the issue? Someone please help explain this! o_O
