Diesel Engine Knocking Under Load

Good afternoon People.

Just noticed a knocking/tapping noise around 3000rpm+ when the engine is under load. Does it when the engine is cold and at operating temperature. It doesn't make any knocking/tapping noise when not in gear and revved up. I have no idea what it could be so help would be great. By the way I have a 1.7CDTi which is mapped with other engine mods like cone filter / FMIC

Thanks.

Yeah it does. But wouldn't that make a noise at low revs? At low revs and normal driving the cars very quiet and normal but as soon as I give it some oomph and the revs get near 3k revs the rattle starts. Soon as I stop accelerating and keep the throttle steady the rattle fades. I'm thinking it's engine pinging, maybe too much fuel or air, not too sure.

I put some BG244 engine cleaner in the fuel to see if that'll help but all it's done is make my car like a night club smoke machine, **** loads of white smoke after a hard drive from the engine bay, and now the electrical fault light came on, it went after I switch the engine off then on though, hopefully just the O2 sensor picking up unusual mixture. Have a feeling the cars is slowly dying :-(
