Opel Corsa 1.2 Petrol 2012 Not Turning Over

Hi, I bought a pretty problem riddled Corsa in March. Ive gotten nearly everything cleared up, but it randomly stopped turning over. Ive been roll starting it from second for the last two weeks, and my mechanic has taken a very thorough look through the electrical system, and concluded that the power intermittently comes to the relay from the key. Its not the battery, not the starter motor, because if I run a cable from the positive of the battery to where the starter relay goes, it starts instantly.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I had the same issue back end of last year and it was the bridging connection on the starter solenoid had corroded through. Occasionally it would turn over but 99.9% of the time the starter would just spin and not throw out to turn the engine over. If you can hear the starter spinning when you turn the key but the engine doesnt turn over id put money on itbeing the same thing. Can have the original starter repaired but for the price i just fitted a new starter been spot on ever since
