So after reading loads of times about people using OpCom - I'd like to now look into this.

But after hearing about a fake one, and a genuine one, I'd like to make sure where I'm looking is a decent place.

Is this the genuine place to get the kit from? Currently listed at ÂŁ49.99.

Cool, cheers for that. I'm stuck with Win11 on a modern laptop, so it looks like I'll have to pay for their remote assistance, unless anyone knows if it's possible to be done manually? What's the reason it requires such an old OS anyway, that sounds really dodgy to me...

The opcom software was built for xp it will work newer systems but more straightforward on xp.
XP is my personal choice as it's such a simple, light, raw os, no bells, whistles or hundreds of other processes running in the background (same as I like my vehicles).
I use an old dell with the side loaded hard drive were I can just pop em in and out. I have dedicated ssd's for different manufacturers so all my vauxhall software, parts, workshop, diagnostics are on a individual ssd, same for ford, vw, bmw etc... very handy.
You can pick an old laptop up for about ÂŁ30 and with the internet disabled (removed the wifi card in my case to be 100%) there is no connection or risk to your network, personal stuff, viruses etc.
