Hi all;
Not related to my corsa but none the less the principle will be the same. Me and the girlfriends dad were working on his e reg landrover 110.
Aiming to refresh the brakes we bought new calipers, discs, pads and brake fluid. When trying to remove the bolts which attach the caliper to the hub we found that they had been left so long they were rusted like hell!
Tried to get the correct size socket on it (star shape but the size I cant remember possibly half inch) but it is just so rusted that it has rounded off.
The bolt is sunk in to the caliper and also it is in a really stubborn place to get to meaning it is hard to get anything behind it (I.e. to hammer a smaller socket on it).
Wondering whether anyone has any suggestions before we just butcher the hell out of the caliper and hack it off!
Thanks guys and girls!
